Try running to the far left corner of the piazza the boss is standing on. It works 90% of the cases because the mob doesn't come that far.

I just aggro him and run to the left of the stairs to the end. I've tried doing the corners and stuff, but he keeps getting healed.

so whats the best method for killing? Im using a SS N/Mo 55(SoA/SH) so large numbers arent a problem. Iv been trying to aggro all the assassins at once, but cant find a good spot to kill them.

Go up one of the many staircases, all the way to the top. Attack one Sin and drop SS on him. .........all dead

To do this farm effectively, your build must be able to kill fast and reliably in hard-mode. This past week, my elem has gotten 100k+, 1 platinum staff (req10 smiting, 20/10), multiple platinum wands, 3 superior vigors, 5+ gold oni daggers, and countless other blue/purple/gold runes.
Most 55's can't handle the Oni, but they're cake with an elem...

I used to get a lot of nice loot from this farm, but lately it seems like a waste of time because all I get are luxon pendants and whites. Lots of people say its just a matter of luck, but anyone who farmed HM at the beginning and is still farming now has to see that there was a major farming nerf somewhere down the line and it seems like its getting worse and worse.

Agreed, and it seems to be everywhere. I have a lot of diff chars on two accounts and farm a lot of areas including this one. Rare drops have decreased significantly since the start of HM, and even in the last couple of weeks. I won't say that it was an intentional nerf, but with the bugs that pop up whenever there's a new update or maintenance, it's hard for me to say that something hasn't changed with drops.

105 Mo/N with PS, SH, SoA, SS, IP, Mark of Pain, Blessed Aura, and Balth's Spirit is the fastest build by far.
I split the assys in two groups and use the mini-stairs and it's good F'in game.
This place is good for 3-4 runs before the drops go sour. If persistent you will get the occasional rare drop after that.
I'm clearing this place in 3:30 with the above build. I'm sure a N/Mo would be faster but a little less forgiving due to shorter SH/SoA.
Still a great place for XP and to work on your wisdom title.

The only reliable drop I'm getting are pendants, white armors and Ashes of Vengeful Khanhei. Out of about 10 runs all I got was 1 gold armor and a few purples. Not even getting any blues (armors), which are often worth as much or even more than golds nowadays.

N/Mo is a little faster, but there is very little(read:~1 sec. or less)margin for error. Swap Necrosis for Blessed Aura for the boss if you are N/Mo. The difference in speed(N/Mo vs Mo/N) is probably only a few seconds.
edit: I've been using this for the allegiance skills as farming is the only form of grind I can stomach.

It takes my elem 10 minutes to complete a run since I take out the 2 oni groups along the way (usually not possible for a 55/105). However, I've gotten numerous gold runes, elite tomes, platinum staves/wands, etc... on a semi-consistent basis.

Alright, silly question. I go to this spot and there isn't any of these assassins, but a bunch of other Luxon's.
Do I need a certain quest activated? Am I just being ignorant?
